Sometimes you just need a listening ear, someone who looks at you and listens without judging.  From an open attitude I ask you questions that can help you further.  Singing, piano and/or saxophone as an outlet, from young to old, can help you express yourself and perhaps discover another side of yourself.  It has been proven that making music helps you relax and that it is good for your general health.  Depending on your situation, we choose music in which you can express yourself.  It is not my intention that you play the notes as well as possible, but rather with what feeling you sing or play the piano or play the saxophone.  I have a lot of experience with various people of all ages and spectra.  People, and sometimes their parents, are often surprised how free they feel after a while singing/playing the piano and how nice a real moment for themselves is.

I graduated at the conservatoire of Zwolle (Netherlands) in 2009. I started giving music lessons at a music school in Zwolle and taught at a number of primary schools. I then moved to Amsterdam and worked at the education department of the Royal Concertgebouw. Work included running music workshops in the building and outside, visiting primary schools around projects that then took place in the Concertgebouw and coaching teachers on music. I wanted to get more in touch with various genres of music and worked for a world music school for a while afterwards. I also ran my own company in Amsterdam for over 10 years, called Muzisanne. Here, children and (young) adults came for music lessons. All styles of music were covered but especially the alternation between classical and pop.

Currently, I focus on giving piano, singing and saxophone lessons. I have a broad orientation but a preference in terms of styles per instrument.

  • Piano: classical and pop
  • Vocals: pop
  • Saxophone: funk, jazz and pop
