All my life, sounds and touch have been central.  This is deep in me and comes from my heart.

For me, singing bowls, music, and massage are ways to connect through relaxation and presence.
They help you (re)connect with your inner strength, feel more at ease in your body, or express yourself more freely.

As a girl I noticed the power of touch and massage.  I would sit in front of my grandmother’s chair and she would tickle and massage me.  Her gentle touch gave me a tingling, safe and secure feeling and I always went home with more energy.  I, too, have those golden hands, I often heard from my relatives.  Sometimes I would just touch a spot, that one spot, which happened to bother them without them telling me.

It still took some time before I made a career out of it.  I opted for education (primary education) and music (conservatoire).  The latter was obvious, because my mother was a professional pianist and I grew up in a house full of music.  Self-expression was important.  Even as a child, I could dance, move and sing without fear, and I still do 🙂  In music lessons, I teach people to express themselves through singing, piano and/or saxophone, without inhibition, and to have fun doing this or have an outlet.

I worked briefly in primary education as a teacher and as a music instructor in schools, through the Royal Concertgebouw and a world music school.
It was beautiful to sense what children needed and respond to that.
But it could also feel overwhelming at times due to my high sensitivity (HSP).
I quickly and deeply sense what someone needs.

When I started offering music lessons from my own practice, to individuals or small groups, I discovered how I could use my sensitivity as a strength.
I can easily tune into what someone needs and feel what kind of approach works.

I could also trust myself and my intuition more and more.  I believe and notice in my own life that everything starts flowing when you dare to follow this and do something from your heart and with love.

I felt that I needed to do something alongside teaching.  I took DJ lessons and began performing as DJ Suzy G.  I also enrolled in a music production course to create my own tracks for DJing and to compose film music.
Music production was fascinating, but the work itself was very individualistic and focused heavily on the mind.
Still, it led me to my next step.  I discovered the healing power of sound and the impact it can have on people. My music lessons gradually took on more of a coaching aspect.

I realized I wanted to connect with people in other ways as well, and decided to focus on massage.
I completed two professional training programs (with Veerman/Leffelaar) and took many intensive courses at the Wellness Academy, where I later also became a teacher.

Besides massages, I became interested in singing bowls and already owned one.  This expanded to several bowls and it became a fascination.  The singing bowls brought two worlds together for me: that of sound and that of massage.

Coincidence does not exist and I got to know Esther van Santen. The techniques she uses were passed on to her through years of training in sound healing in Nepal, the birthplace of singing bowls.  She passed on these techniques and her vision to me.

I see each person just as they are, and people of all backgrounds tend to feel at ease with me quickly.
Over time, I’ve naturally come to integrate everything related to resonance, often on a deeper level.
I use singing bowls, massage, and (music) coaching to reach and touch a part of someone. After that, the body and everything around it has the strength to continue the process on its own.

In 2022 a new phase has arrived in my life. After living in Amsterdam for eleven years, I took the step to emigrate to the South of France. From 2023 I will be living in Azillanet, a village surrounded by vineyards in the Cathar country.
